Dear Friends: Thank you for visiting the website of Saloma Baptist Church. Our hope is that you find this tool of value to you in terms of learning more about our particular congregation as well as sharing information on the Christian faith, various missions and ministries that we support, and helping encourage you to consider the plan of salvation in Jesus Christ - if you are not already a believer. During this season of the year, Christians around the world are looking toward the annual celebration of the season of Easter. Easter is certainly much more than the American commercialized version of eggs, bunnies, new clothes, and pretty hats. It is a high and holy time in the Christian faith when we are reminded of passion of our Lord, of his crucifixion at Calvary, and of his ultimate resurrection on the "third day." It's all about "the cross and the resurrection." These are the main points of our faith in Christ. Some would suggest this as the "main thing." In 2010 it is certainly appropriate that we put emphasis on the "main thing" - and the "main thing" for us is recognizing the power of the Cross where Jesus Christ died and the resurrection where He arose from the dead. In so doing, he offers us the opportunity to bear our sins for us and to be saved in His name.
